DESIGN CONTEST FOR THE VISUAL IDENTITY OF THE 50th ANNIVERSARY OF THE OFFICIAL RELATIONS BETWEEN THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA AND THE REPUBLIC OF SAN MARINO

After reviewing all the 33 proposals and having found the commitment and quality of work of all the projects, the jury has decided to reward equally both Beijing City University students and students of the University of San Marino.

After a consultation with the working group of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of San Marino for the organization of the 50th anniversary celebrations, the proposal of GIOVANNI PICCOLI was choosen as the winning project to use for the visual communication of the celebrations in San Marino.

The Confucius Institut of San Marino togheter with the University of the Republic of San Marino announce  a design contest for the visual identity of the 50th anniversary of the Diplomatic Relation between People's Republic of China and Republic of San Marino.
This important events will take place in 2021 and the Confucius Institut will need also of yours design ideas to celebrate it in the right way

Objectives of the initiative and theme of the competition
The aim of the competition is to create the visual identity that will be used for all communications, publications and merchandising during the celebrations of the 50th  and a commemorative poster 70 x 100 cm.
For the visual identity concept the candidates' proposals must include: a logo, development of the corporate identity, color codes, fonts, patterns, applications on possible merchandising (such as bags, pens, pins, etc.). A special application of the identity is also required for the creation of a commemorative postage stamp that will be printed by the philatelic institute of the Republic of San Marino (dim. 35 x 35 mm)
The commemorative poster has to be design to celebrate the friendship and relations between the Republic of San Marino and the People's Republic of China. It can be freely designed by using symbols, images, tipography and with an original and personal interpretation.

Participants
Participation in the contest is open to:
- Regularly enrolled students in the Design Degrees of the University of the Republic of San Marino
- Regularly enrolled students in the Design Degrees of the Beijing City University;
- Students that has been graduated in the last 3 years in the design degrees programs of the same Universities
Participation is in a clear form and can take place both individually and in groups (in the case, the group leader must be indicated).

AWARDS
The prize amounts is divided in
- first classified - € 1.000 (¥ 7.800)
- 2 awords for second classified - € 600 + € 600 (¥ 4.700+¥ 4.700)
- 3 awords for  third classified - € 400 + € 400 + € 400 (¥ 3.100+¥ 3.100+¥ 3.100)
Honorable Mentions may be awarded by the jury for particularly deserving proposal.

Composition of the jury
The jury will be composed of:
- 2 Professors chosen in the Design degrees of the University of San Marino.
- 2 Professors chosen in the Design degrees of the Beijing City University.
- 1 Rapresentative of the Forein Affairs Ministry of San Marino
- The 2 Directors of the Confucius Institut of San Marino
